Lamborghini’s piece ‘Esto sí que es tragarse la bala’, written while the poet was resident in Barcelona in the 1980s, provides an important contrast to Cortázar’s version of the committed poet in exile. Secondly, parallel to this existential ‘exile’, we also witness Pizarnik tracing a literary community and genealogy: perhaps the ‘silent lodge’ of line 17 above.
